Bob Deen is a Principal Data Scientist in the Multimission Image Processing Lab (MIPL) at JPL, where he has worked for the last 33 years. He is responsible for the ground-based image processing software used  as part of the daily command cycle by all of the recent Mars landed  missions (MER, PHX, MSL, NSYT, and Mars 2020), including especially  stereo processing and mosaics.  He has also been on the operations team for all of those missions.  While his Mars 2020 responsibilities at JPL  involve processing images from all cameras on the rover, he is  particularly excited about closer collaboration with the Mastcam-Z team in order to bring out the best the camera has to offer, particularly in  the area of stereo processing.
