Morten Bo Madsen is an associate professor at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Morten is a physicist specialized in Mössbauer spectroscopy and with interest and experience in analysis of the surface of Mars aiming to increase the understanding of the evolution of the surface, including the potential for biology. Morten has worked with design and construction of simple experiments using permanent magnets and with surface science operations and data analysis on the missions Mars Pathfinder, Mars Polar Lander, Mars Exploration Rovers, Mars Phoenix Lander, Curiosity. Morten is a Co-Investigator on Mastcam-Z, SuperCam, and MOXIE, all on the Perseverance rover.
