Anthony Colaprete is a Planetary Scientist at the NASA Ames Research Center, where he currently leads the Flight Instrument Group, developing a range of instruments for flight and also conducting basic research on planetary atmospheres and lunar volatiles.  Anthony’s research interests include the formation of both water and carbon dioxide clouds within the martian atmosphere and the impact these clouds have on the broader martian climate.   Anthony has also worked extensively with ultraviolet, visible and near infrared spectroscopic instrumentation and observations and the evaluation of volatiles in lunar soils.  Anthony received his PhD In Astrophysics, Planetary and Atmospheric Science from the University of Colorado on 2000.
