Samuel Birch
Sam Birch is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where his research focuses on exploring and modeling the evolution of the surfaces of planets, moons and small bodies across the outer solar system. He was involved with the landing site selection and geologic mapping at Jezero Crater on the Perseverance rover while a postdoc at Cornell University, and retains an affiliation with Cornell for Mars-related research. Sam is interested in the delta and climate dynamics at/around the landing site.
