Sanjeev Gupta
Sanjeev Gupta is a geologist and planetary scientist in the Dept. of Earth Science and Engineering at Imperial College London. Trained as a field geologist, he is interested in reconstructing processes and environments from the ancient rock record. His field of expertise is in sedimentology and stratigraphy. He is a Long Term Planner for the Mars 2020 mission’s Perseverance rover, and he is excited to use his terrestrial experience to reconstruct the ancient delta in Jezero crater. He is also heavily involved in the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity and the ESA/Roscosmos ExoMars 2022 Rosalind Franklin rover missions.
